Town of Winchester
McDonald Field Water Booster Pump Station

OWNER: RIVERS SCHOOL

CONTRACT VALUE: $438,937

PROJECT COMPLETED: AUGUST 2020

The McDonald Field Water Booster Pump Station project for the Town of Winchester involved the design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art facility to improve water pressure and distribution for the surrounding community. The project addressed critical infrastructure needs by replacing an outdated pump station with modern equipment, including high-efficiency booster pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and advanced control systems to optimize performance and energy use.

The scope of work also included constructing a new pump station building, integrating it with existing water infrastructure, and installing a SCADA system for real-time monitoring and remote operation. Special attention was given to minimizing service interruptions during the transition and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Upon completion, the Town of Winchester will have a reliable and efficient water distribution system. The upgraded facility now ensures consistent water pressure, supports future growth, and reinforces the town’s commitment to delivering high-quality public services to its residents.
